Career Development Group: Honorary Fellowship Award - Call for Nominations

The Career Development Group is the only Group of CILIP which awards its own Honorary Fellowship award to individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the Career Development Group. For example, the Fellowship award was last presented to Kate Wood, former CILIP Liaison Officer for the Group, to recognise her exceptional contribution in supporting the Group successfully achieve its aims and objectives.

The Career Development Group is now seeking nominations from its members for individuals that they consider suitable for a Fellowship award. We would be looking for
* those who have significantly supported the Group and enabled it to meet the Group's aims and objectives
* evidence of their own continued professional development
* role of supporting the professional development of others such as promoting the chartering process, acting as a mentor
* helping the Group achieve its aim in the area of learning opportunities
* contributed to debate and professional developments by bringing about positive change, focussing on particular issues or campaigns.

The award will be to those who have offered exceptional and significant service to the Career Development Group.

Any nominations will be considered by the President, Vice President and Past President who will make recommendation to the Council of the Career Development Group. The decision of Council will be final. Awards will be announced following the spring Council in 2004 and published in Impact and on the Group's website.

If you wish to nominate a Career Development Group member for a Fellowship award, please send nominations with a short justification (max 250 words) by 1st February to;-
