Contact details for Divisional Secretaries, Chartership Support Officers and Publications Promotions Officers are published regularly in Impact: the journal of the Career Development Group as well as in the Career Development Group Council Directory.

Divisional committee members are often the first contact Career Development Group members have with Officers of the Group. Divisional committee members are expected to attend four to six committee meetings per year. Business discussed at Divisional committee meetings includes plans for courses, meetings, Divisional newsletters, fundraising, and matters referred to or from the Career Development Group Council. The number of members and Officers for a particular Division are laid down in that Division's model rules, but normally consist of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Chartership Support Officer, Publications Promotion Officer, and 10-15 committee members. Some Divisions have additional posts with responsibility in such areas as education, meetings, publicity, unemployed or affiliate members. One Officer is appointed as the Division's representative on the Career Development Group Council. Those Divisions with Departments of Library and Information Studies/Management also have a student representative. Divisional committee members are expected to support Divisional events where possible.
